Returns and Crash Replacement Policy
RETURNS
Where a product has been opened, used and or tested, and the product is not faulty a refund cannot be given.
Please choose carefully as we do not refund for change of mind purchases, however we happily exchange for incorrectly supplied products if a product is unopened, undamaged and in its original condition.
Buyers must provide the return shipping cost for exchange. All shipping costs are non-refundable.
Any products which are found to be faulty are eligible for a full refund, repair or replacement at the discretion of EightyOneSpices. Any product for refund/exchange must be received within 30 days of original delivery.
All products being returned must be securely packed to ensure the package is fully protected (Cost of shipping is by the sender). EightyOneSpices will not be responsible for packaging negligence unless the item/s being returned was originally damaged. EightyOneSpices is not responsible for returned goods that go missing during transport, it is the responsibilty of the sender to adequately insure items sent back to EightyOneSpices.
No refund, exchange or return policy applies to special offers, clearance offers or sale items.
Note: SQlab saddles are excempt from the above in that we offer a 60 day return policy. If you are not happy with the saddle you can return it even if you have ridden it. However, we ask you to contact us prior to returning.
CRASH REPLACEMENT
We offer a crash replacement on all products we sell. The process is simple. Return the item accompanied by a brief description of what happened and how the item was damaged to below PO box address and we will assess based on general condition, age and the given incedent and provide a crash replacement offer on a case-by-case basis. This typically represents 30 - 50% off the current RRP price.
Example: You have a crash while out riding and your carbon handlebars are scratched and you are no longer sure if they are safe to ride. Send them in and you can continue to ride a fresh set of handlebars at a reduced price knowing that they are 100% safe to ride and not damaged from your crash.
WARRANTIES
Where a product is believed to be faulty, it is to be returned to EightyOneSpices (address below) for assessemnt and will be subject to the manufacturers warranty terms. Most of our manufacturers have a 2 year warranty, Syntace items commonly have a 10 year warranty on manufacturing defects.
In order to claim a warranty the buyer will be required to return the item to EightyOneSpices for warranty assessment. Please include the purchase receipt and a short note with any relevant information on how the damage occured. Only if we have the item here to inspect, can we make a perfect assessment of the item. The buyer is required to cover any return shipping costs. All shipping costs are non-refundable. Any product which is found to be faulty and is within the manufacturer's warranty period, is eligible for either a repair or replacement as offered at the discretion of EightyOneSpices. If a direct replacement is not possible due to the product being discontinued or superceeded, EightyOneSpices will endeavour to either offer a newer model (potentially with a price adjustment) or a suitable item of equal market value.
