The 301 MK10 was converted to 650b with regular Talas 36 26" forks. The forks worked perfectly fine with the 650b wheel, just that tyre choice was somewhat limited for clearance.
We decided for this this neat change to the Carbocage bolt on seatpost clamp with comes int he Liteville (and Scott use it as well) specific 38.0mm size. The seal that comes with the Syntace seatpost shim even works well!
Switching from 26" to 650b with almost the identical wheels (just increasing spoke count from 24h to 32h) and similar tyre choice, only 121g additional weight for the bigger wheels!
The 301 MK10 was converted to 650b with regular Talas 36 26" forks. The forks worked perfectly fine with the 650b wheel, just that tyre choice was somewhat limited for clearance.
This one was a slightly more cost contious build opting for a SRAM X9 drivetrain and X-Fusion Vengeance forks. Turned out to be a sweet build none the less. Check the colour matching throughout the whole bike!
