Co_lab Racing Team’s Scott Graham wins DH on 130mm trailbike
New South Wales based off-road race team Co_Lab, made headlines this week with team rider Scott Graham taking a win in the second round of the CCMTB Downhill series, onboard a 130mm travel Meta29. Cue the vinyl scratch sound effects. Yep, that’s right, on a 130mm trail bike. This is no mean feat, considering the depth of talent around in NSW. Yet Scott’s Commencal Meta29 TR, loaded with Formula Selva forks, Cura2 brakes, Syntace cockpit and SQlab contact points, carried him to victory despite the competition. With a margin of just 0.6 of a second ahead of U19s Junior Ethan Corney, and less than 7 seconds separating the top 10 places, the tight racing made for an exciting round at Red Ass. A mix of berms, jumps, rock gardens, shoots and pedally sections, the 130mm trail bike offered a solid advantage on the flatter sections, something which Scott made the most of to take the win and the super sensitive Formula Selva fork he’s running made sure he had plenty of traction in the off-camber chatter that crops towards the middle of the run. The team at EightyOneSpices congratulate Scott on clinching the win!
